Q: What exactly will my kid do at NEXT?

A: A typical afternoon will look like this:
Snacks/ hang out time in a supervised and encouraging environment.
Huddle time led by our ministry team (about 10-15 minutes)
Homework help facilitated by qualified volunteers.
Track times- enrichment opportunities can be added on.

Q: How does my kid get to NEXT from school?

A: BBC provides transportation from Nannie Berry Elementary, Indian Lake Elementary, George A. Whitten Elementary and Ellis to our facility. We accept students from any school, but transportation is provided exclusively from these schools at this time.

Q: How much does NEXT cost?

A: Fees are very affordable and based on a sliding scale.
$15.00 per day / 1-2 days per week
$10.00 per day/  3-4 days per week

*This is based on a family of four. Individual pay schedules can be determined for larger families or families with multiple children enrolled.  We want this program to be affordable to all families. In order to qualify for reduced costs, you will need to submit a copy of all income statements for a month- (pay stubs, government assistance, child support, etc.) This information will be confidential and seen only by the Director.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: Click here to be taken to the registration page and get started!

Q: Why not Fridays

A: We are still a new program. We want to provide the best quality service in this ministry of BBC and feel at this time 4 days a week helps many families we were unable to help before only 1 day a week.

Q: Who will be in charge of my kid?

A: NEXT is a cooperative effort of the children and student ministries at BBC. A part time director will be the point person to oversee all aspects of the NEXT program.  Volunteers will continue to be background checked and submit to an interview process.

Q: I want to get involved. How do I help

A: Contact our church office at 824-0001 to volunteer for NEXT. Wendy Swaby is currently our volunteer coordinator for this program.
