Learning to knit is fun, creative and benefits children in a variety of ways. Studies have shown knitting helps brain stimulation as it relates to math processing. Knitting also is a valuable tool for teaching life lessons of responsibility, ability to focus and follow through, persistence, and teamwork. Our first project is a simple scarf and then the children will be given other project options to work on. Taught by Mary Anne Mercill, lifetime knitter, teacher of 5th and 6th grade Sunday morning life group, and lover of children.
